Our Learning Experiences

National Space Centre – January 2025

In January, we all took a trip to the National Space Centre to learn more about space and make links with our current knowledge. We discovered who was the first animal in space, learnt about the planets in detail and then we able to view an actual piece of the moon! It was very exciting and interesting and helped us to better understand why phenomena happen such as day and night when we returned to the classroom.

Mandir Visit – March 2025

In RE, we have been learning about Hinduism and were lucky enough to visit the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Leicester which is a beautiful and stunning building. We learnt lots of information about the many murtis that Hindus worship as well as the different types of bhajans that are played.

DT assessment – March 2025

As part of our approach to assessing foundation subjects, we completed a ‘Ready, Steady, Cook’ activity in March where each child was presented with a selection of ingredients that they needed to choose from to prepare a tasty meal. The results were amazing, especially as children didn’t have a recipe to follow and only 10 minutes to plan what they would prepare.
